Tired feet, tired kids, tired us!

Hello Dubai! Well at least the Jumeirah Beach Walk and area. We spent the day walking and discovering what is around our hotel. The day started early at 4am when the kids decided they were done with sleeping. Guess that's not too bad considering they did sleep most of the day our time.

Had breakfast at the hotel and hit the pavement. Lots of construction everywhere you look and crazy high and twisting or unique shaped high rises. Crossed over the marina which you can't see from our hotel despite the name 'Marina View Apartments'! We're talking some serious size yachts docked at the Yacht Club.

We headed down to the JBR - beach walk which is filled with shops but mostly restaurants and cafés. Everything from Starbucks to KFC and fancier stuff in between.

Stopped to dip our feet in at the beach and to my shock Maëlle decided to squat and take a pee! Beautiful sand and beach with pretty shells. Water is quite cool but would be perfect by hot afternoon.

Made our way back to the hotel before it got too hot and hit the pool. The girls loved it. It's a great pool and perfect temp. We'll take some pictures tomorrow as I'm sure we'll be back.

Without thinking I took all photos on the big camera today so don't have much to post. I'll do better tomorrow;)

Jet lag hit as we all laid down for afternoon naps and completely zonked out. Both girls woke cranky and still so sleepy. Thought getting out for dinner would help but it was a bit of a disaster! Oh well, so far they done so well adjusting.

Neko is keeping us very very busy though, she climbs anything and everything she can. Today she stood a couple times from the ground to stand with no support!

Doug is off at 7:30am to visit the Stantec office tomorrow, not sure what we'll do yet. Guess you'll find out tomorrow! Night night :)
