Went early this morning with Doug to the Dubai Stantec office to meet everyone. They were disappointed the last time he went in that the kids didn't come along!
Spent a little time there then got dropped back at the hotel. Decided to take another train ride with the girls to the Mall of the Emirates to check out Ski Dubai!
It's nice that the train is so close and easy to take, they even have a train car just for women and children.
Funny to see all the people suiting up to go skiing, and the kids so excited just to play in the snow...meanwhile people back home are probably groaning about having to shovel their driveways. There is skiing inside as well as live penguins and a sled ride course. You don't get a very good view from the outside though.
Came across an absolute giant store that appears to be the Wal-Mart of Dubai, but about 4 times the size. Groceries, clothing, household stuff. Didn't check too much out because Maëlle drank too much at lunch and had to pee!
This mall not quite as fancy as Dubai Mall but still everything you could possibly want/need. I think I've seen some of the most beautiful ladies clothes I've ever seen in one place, and that's just from window shopping. Definitely more polished and fashion forward than little old Kelowna!
Neko had her 2nd paparazzi experience today. Took my eyes off her for a second and a guy swooped in to get his photo taken beside her.
