More Touring

Today we took the bus tour down to Tower Bridge and a boat ride back up the Thames. Another full fun day!

At the Palace with my two Princesses!

Went today to the gates of Buckingham Palace. And Lisa, we said hi to the Queen for you!!

We almost had a national incident on the Buckingham Palace lawn. Heehee. Poor Maëlle had to pee and despite directions to a far off toilet (which I had no idea where I was being sent) there just wasn't time. So I found myself outside the gate of the Queen's residence wondering if I could get away with Maëlle peeing on her lawn! Instead opted to stop and change Maëlle into a pull up so she could go.

In true Princess fashion, Maëlle threw a huge fit and started crying when she couldn't go through the palace gate!

Out for Fish & Chips!

On the Eye!

Maëlle made a little friend on the Eye and they shared snacks.

Bus Tour

With only two days left in London I felt like I still had so much I wanted to 'see' so bought a ticket for the hop on, hop off bus tour. Much easier with the girls.

We started out at Piccadilly Circus, saw Trafalgar Square, Victoria park area, Westminster Abby, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace entrance and then got off to go on the Eye.

Hoping to make it to see Tower Bridge, go on to the palace grounds, and maybe a boat down the Thames.

Underground

Well the tube is exhausting me! It's such an easy way to navigate the City but not very easy with two young kids and heavy stroller.

Think I'd stay up and walk more if weather was better, it's too bad. Don't get to see as much. This would be a fantastic family vacation destination with older kids. Can't believe I only really have tomorrow and so much to still see.

On our way out of the tube station, Maëlle asked for a hot dog and enjoyed what we refer to as a European wiener! On the way back before the shop was in sight she asked for another one ;)

Tried to get a pic of the super long escalator. This is only from about 3/4 the way up because I was too nervous not to be ready to get off with both girls in tow.

Water Splash so much fun.

Both girls really had fun getting smocked up to play in this river water table. Neko's feet got a little wet but totally worth it.

More fun next door at the Science Museum

Really only had time (and the energy) to check out the little kid friendly areas. The girls both had so much fun discovering.

Maëlle loved all the Dinosaur bones!

She got so excited when we reached the T Rex exhibit there was a large, very realistic, animatronic one.

Amazing mammal exhibit too. Maëlle kept asking 'take my picture with this one'!

Pretty sure we only saw a tiny offering but it was fun and very impressive.
